TRADERS' RIDGE RESORT
Traders’ Ridge Resort, established in late December of 1999, is one of Yap’s most recent hotels. Built in Folk Victorian Style, Traders’ Ridge has 22 rooms, each with local mahogany furniture and traditional artworks or crafts, all handmade by our own craftsmen. Unlike other hotels on Yap that mainly cater to scuba divers, Traders’ Ridge welcomes all sorts of travelers. Yet its primary objective is in promoting interest in the traditional culture of the island. In addition, it sponsors the Ethnic Art Institute of Micronesia; a non-profit organization that serves as a venue for the revival of Micronesian arts and traditions. At Traders’ Ridge, one can be immersed in the rich culture of Yap while enjoying the modern and luxurious accommodations of a first class hotel
